Bigg Boss Season 2 housemates celebrated the festival of lights-Diwali with extreme joy and fervor. Even though, the housemates failed to light up the Diyaas themselves, they more than made up for it. All the housemates prayed together in the evening and sang many aartis in the praise of God. The most commendable part was that members of different religions also joined in the festivity.

The garden area was beautifully lighted up and the housemates got crackers to burst. The fireworks in the air created a spectacular sight. All the housemates showed a lot of zeal and enthusiasm after a very long time. Diana Hayden and Monika Bedi looked very pretty in traditional sarees. Monika even danced with immense ease and grace in those nine yards of Indian ethnic wear.
Bigg Boss has been extremely generous this week. None of the housemates would get nominated this week. Also, all the housemates were allowed to receive gifts from their families. This brought back smiles on the faces of these members who have now stayed away from their families for more than two months.
Housemates were even freed from the trouble of cooking on the Diwali night. Bigg Boss arranged a lavish dinner for the housemates. Biryaani and dessert made the members very happy. They thanked Bigg Boss for his generosity and enjoyed the meal together.

Nominations this week have created a lot of rifts in the relationships. Despite repeated warnings from Bigg Boss and even after getting nominated last week, the housemates refuse to mend their ways. Nominations are still being planned but quietly and away from public glare. Washrooms are being put to good use for all the hushed talks.

Zulfi Syed went ahead against this ongoing scheming and apprised Bigg Boss of the developments in the house. He told him that the nominations are still not free and fair. He made Bigg Boss aware that Raja Chaudhary, Diana Hayden and Ashutosh Kaushik had together planned to vote against Rahul Mahajan and Monika Bedi. He had also overheard a conversation between Rahul and Raja where Raja made Rahul to swear that he will nominate Zulfi.
Zulfi had always been a partner in all the plotting. However, with six housemates left in the house, circumstances have changed. Now, friends are turning into foes to survive in the game. Equations are changing in a matter of few minutes. Zulfi and Rahul had remained friends all throughout the game. Zulfi sensed that Rahul had conspired with Raja and this provoked him. He immediately sprang into action and complained to Bigg Boss.

Bigg Boss season 2 has been a huge hit amongst the audience. The major credit of this otherwise monotonous game show goes to the interesting tasks given on a weekly and daily basis. However, the housemates are not showing any enthusiasm in performing the task this week which has been designed keeping the Diwali festival in mind.

A week back the housemates had been asked to prepare diyaas for Diwali. The task this week is in continuation of the previous one. The housemates have to light up the diyaas by first pouring oil into them. The problem in performing this task is that the housemates didn’t design the diyaas properly. The shapes which they gave are not appropriate for putting the oil. Consequently, most of the diyaas can’t be lighted up.

The housemates seem to have given up on this task after several failed attempts. The housemates also had to prepare a water boat which would float in the swimming pool. Bigg Boss had instructed that while the other members would light up the diyaas, one of them would have to sit on that water boat. Rahul Mahajan was the first one to occupy that hot seat. But, very soon he got too bored sitting there. He later called it more of a ‘punishment’ than a ‘task’.

The results of nominations are still not out even after two days of long wait. The housemates are confused and unsure. They are trying to guess the names of the nominated members themselves. Bigg Boss has a big pleasant surprise in store for all these worried housemates. The housemates will discover this surprise only on Friday, the day of eviction.

As a part of Diwali bonanza, Bigg Boss has decided not to evict any member from the house this week. But the catch lies in the fact that the housemates will not be told this decision. They will have to keep predicting the future course of events.

To keep it real, Bigg Boss even asked each of the housemates to nominate 2 members in the confession room. The members who received maximum votes against them are Rahul Mahajan and Monika Bedi. Ashutosh Kaushik, Diana Hayden and Raja Chaudhary voted against Monika and Rahul. It is quite clear that these housemates had ganged up for the nominations.

This is a million dollar question. The housemates, audience and the media alike are waiting with bated breath and fixed eyes to get the answer. These two housemates, Diana Hayden and Ashutosh Kaushik spend the maximum time in each other’s company. The producers are cashing on this on screen romance by showing them in almost all the frames together.

The housemates keep pulling their leg about it. Most of the time, Diana laughs it off while Ashutosh remains quiet. According to Raja Chaudhary, it’s a different kind of love story. Here the girl made the first move while the boy is too shy to admit or deny.
Miss World, Diana Hayden is rich, sophisticated and well educated. She is based in Los Angeles and visits India only on work. Dhabawalla, Ashutosh Kaushik, on the other hand is rustic and hails from a very small town in U.P called Saharanpur. Their love story, if at all it is true, is like a story straight from some typical Bollywood masala film.
This couple just can’t get enough of each other. They spend most of the time giggling and sharing secret glances at each other. Ashutosh is visible in the kitchen more than ever before, lending a hand in all the work. This helps him spend some extra time with Diana. She has been patiently trying to make him learn the nuances of English. Ashutosh is catching up on the language and even expressed his desire to talk only in English.

The housemates have been deprived of any delicacies from the past 70 days. These celebrities who are so used to eating out recently got a chance to indulge. Bigg Boss organized a dinner party for the housemates. It worked like a stress buster for all these members after the eviction of Debojit Saha.
All the housemates feasted on the dinner which was sent by famous Chinese Restaurant ‘Mainland China’. The housemates relished the food and it was a good break from cooking. This was the first time these members didn’t have to content themselves with homemade food.

The celebrities have learned the value of things in the house. These people who otherwise, would have never bothered about the left over food nicely packed it and saved it for the next day. Slowly but surely, these people have realized the worth of simple pleasures in life.
All the housemates are still recovering from the shock of Debojit’s exit. Most of them thought that he was too popular outside the house. Diana Hayden repeatedly expressed her disbelief over the week’s eviction. She told Raja that she didn’t have the slightest inclination that Debojit would be ousted. She had regrets about not spending enough time with him during the week.

Here we are with the part 2 of the journey so far, the first part is here. The celebrities have completed 70 long days in the house of Bigg Boss. The game which started with 14 odd people from different walks of life has brought instant success for the newly launched channel ‘Colors’. Now only 6 people will battle it out for the huge prize money which has kept them going all this while.

After Ketaki Dave’s exit, the house lost its motherly figure. She was the kitchen queen and the cleanliness freak. After her eviction, Alina Khujrewalla was shown the door through a conspiracy which transpired at the time of open nominations. Alina was a commoner in the house of celebrities and was treated like a kid by them.

Sambhavna Seth took charge of the kitchen after Ketaki and Alina were ousted. Sambhavna, the Bhojpuri actress and an item girl became the drama queen of the house. Her temper got her instant recognition in the house. She had a tiff with almost every housemate. Ahsaan Qureshi was her only friend in the house.

The house has remained unlucky for the girls’ right from the beginning. While the girls kept losing their hold week after week, the boys remained safe and happy. The next week’s nomination only reaffirmed this belief with the eviction of Payal Rohatgi. The lady who remained Rahul Mahajan’s love interest in the show was quickly forgotten. The void in Rahul’s life in the house was filled much before her exit by Monika Bedi’s re-entry.

The singer of the house, Debojit Saha has been voted out by the audience this week. All the housemates were nominated for the first time. Bigg Boss had punished them for breaking the rules of the house. They had been talking about nominations with each other.

The disco dancer of the house has come a long way in the house. He spent more than two months amongst hostile housemates. Deboji Saha is a singer by profession and came in limelight through a singing talent hunt show. There has been no looking back for this boy from East India ever since he won the title in that show.
Debojit was a very shy person when he entered the house. Though he hasn’t changed much even after this long stint in the house, he has at least learnt to stand up for himself. During his entire stay he never picked any fights except once when he was provoked by Raja Chaudhary.
Debojit came under the influence of Rahul Mahajan and remained loyal to him throughout. Only recently he realized that he had been secretly exploited because of his credulous nature. He easily believed others and specially Rahul. A lot of relations changed after he was exposed to the truth.

Bigg Boss House is a place where there is no room for simple and straight forward people. Such people get pushed, shoved and exploited at every stage. The finest example is the docile and naïve Debojit Saha. He is a small town boy who became a household name after winning a singing competition. His popularity helped him get this big offer from Bigg Boss.

Debojit came this far in the game because the clever housemates thought that he can be ousted at later stages without much difficulty. He was never seen as a real threat by any member. He remained quiet and stayed away from any plotting for nominations. He has come across as a cultured man.
Rahul Mahajan knows the importance of such members to back him up and consequently save himself from eviction. He immediately took him under his wings. He pretended that they were good friends. It was only recently that the truth came out. Debojit learnt from other housemates that Rahul had backstabbed him. Rahul had voted against him. Debojit was too stunned to react to this as he had been used as a puppet all this while.

The house of Bigg Boss is bustling with activities. Many legendary movies are being revisited through their famous characters. This week has been dedicated to the Hindi movies which enjoy a very wide viewership across the country. The producers must be patting their back for such a task.

The housemates were given seven characters from different popular movies to choose from. Raja Chaudhary has donned the character of ‘Bhuvan’ from the movie ‘Lagaan’. Rahul Mahajan has become the angry young man Amitabh Bachchan in the role of ‘Vijay’. Zulfi Syed is the villainous character ‘Mogambo’ of the house which a true mismatch to his real life personality. ‘Mogambo’ was the name of the tormentor in the hit movie ‘Mr. India’ and was played by Late Amrish Puri.
Debojit Saha is the disco dancer of the house as he chose to be ‘Jimmy’, the role which made Mithun Chakrovarty a superstar many years ago. Diana Hayden is the deaf, dumb, blind ‘Michelle’ from the movie ‘Black’. Rani Mukherjee‘s acting prowess in this movie made this character immemorial. Diana will have to do justice to a difficult role as comparison with Rani Mukherjee is inevitable. Monika Bedi’s new found confidence can be seen in her Sridevi act in the role of ‘Seema’.
The housemates were given similar costumes as the actors had worn in the movie to make them look more real. All the housemates looked exactly like their real counterparts in the films. Zulfi in his Black Mogambo dress clearly stood out. Diana actually got into her character and behaved like Michelle throughout the day.
